We are in emergency mode in many communities along the Texas caost including Houston, Galveston, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Rockport and all surrounding areas after one of the worst hurricanes to make landfall since 1961 when Carla made landfall as a category 4.

Our founders, Jennifer and Bryan Caswell are also restaurateurs and through one of their restaurants, Reef, a team of employees and volunteers has been busy sourcing and creating fresh, healthy and hot meals for the coastal communities affected the most in Hurricane Harvey's devastating path.

After receiving many calls, emails, texts and messages asking how others can help Texas, Southern Salt set up a new fundraising campaign specifically benefitting those areas directly by providing hot meals, collecting necessary supplies to help relief efforts and sourcing vehicles and volunteers to help transport items from point Houston to surrounding areas not yet receiving federal aid.

Our team is currently prepping and cooking hot meals for 10,000 - 15,000 people including- first responders, the national guard, special ops forces, volunteers and those now living in shelters, hospitals, churches, and schools.

All funds from this campaign are supporting efforts currently on the ground and helping to plan future support to southeast Texas coastal communities. Any funds that remain after we are done serving will be donated directly to the communities that were impacted the most via the form of grant/scholarship.

Southern Salt is a registered 501c3 and we do not keep any profit meaning 100% goes back into our communities.
